The Department of Planning Research & Statistics (PRS), Plateau State Universal Basic Education Board (PLSUBEB), Government of Plateau State has mapped all public schools (Pre-Primary and Primary) in the state. More than 2,300 schools have been mapped by officials of PRS department, under technical guidance of Ephod Communications

Interface

The school mapping application framework is designed to offer a more user-friendly and a modern user interface that features a smart query engine through which you can;

• Find the location of any school down to the ward level
• Get a turn by turn direction with map to visit any school
• Connect and interact with any school via their dedicated school page
• Perform various useful analysis and generate graphical reports

Verification

The current status of a school location will show verified if the location has been visited using the published coordinates, else it remains unverified. The captured data are validated by the department of PRS and verified by Ephod.

How to use

Just like the ProjectWatch™ Application, the school mapping application can be engaged through the following steps below: For getting more information about the school, click or hover on the icon of any school for a popup box containing a link to visit the school page or get navigational direction to the school. The simple Spatial Analysis tool allows a user to perform analysis such as:

• Displaying school(s) within a particular LGEA, District or Ward.
• Displaying school(s) with a particular need or available facility as
• Displaying school(s) nearest to a particular land mark or feature or user defined radius

To use the tool, select the analysis tool from the map menu bar. An info window will open and the wizard will guide you through the different possible analysis. For a buffer analysis the application will work out circle around the place marker and user can visualise and analyse the availability of schools in the buffer circle area. • Master Plan preparation of PRS
• Monitoring & Evaluation of Projects and other works related activities
• School Examination Center Planning
• Election planning
• Disaster Management, etc
